【Day3】26 Sep 2021
Important Thing Is to Complete Whole Distance Safely
Day three started and the rally entered the second half. The sky was covered with thick clouds and the entrants set off from the hotel at 7:30 am. They drive as many as approximately 390km today so it is going to be a long day.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to see the colorful fall foliage because this year's event was held about a month earlier than previous years. Instead golden rice stalks in the rice fields blowing in the wind pleased the eye. That is one of the scenery we can enjoy only in this year’s rally.
The entrants passed through Fukushima Prefecture and got into Tochigi Prefecture. They had lunch at Hunter Mountain Shiobara, which was also the PC competition venue. As the entrants arrived there, it was getting foggy and a light rain started to fall. It didn’t rain heavily during the event this year, however, we got caught in a light rain every day and both the cars and the entrants got pretty wet.
The entrants left Tochigi Prefecture and headed to Narita City in Chiba Prefecture without stopping. There was no heavy traffic on the road, and what is more, the rain let up, so their journey went smoothly. The entrants are concerned about their results of the competitions of course, but first of all it is important to complete this four day rally safely.
On day four, the final day of the event, the entrants will travel around Chiba Prefecture and cross the finish line at Umihotaru. There is only one day left of the event. I hope that all of the entrants will complete the whole distance without any trouble. |
